Journal Linear Equations

When writing a linear equation which method do you prefer: Standard form (Ax + By= C), Slope-Intercept Form (y=mx+b), of Point-Slope from (y-y1 = m(x-x1) ). Why? Why do you think we learn different ways to write linear equations?
